Walls
My walls are thick
My walls are strong
My walls are for me
My walls are to protect you
from me
My walls are made of many things
Some from you
Some from my family
Some from my friends
Some from nowhere at all
If you can see my walls
your lucky
Most don't get that close
None get in
There is no door
No way to pass
If you see my walls
your special
you mean something
My walls are there for me
to hide behind
Sometimes my walls are dams
to keep my emotions in
to keep you safe
I wouldn't hurt you
I wouldn't leave you
But all the same
they keep it back
My walls keep you out
so you don't bury yourself
so deep that
when you decide to leave
you can't take any of me with you
Sure you might make me cry
if your lucky
You might get
where you can touch the walls
But you won't know what they are
You won't know they're there
No, but there they are
Always protecting me
and you
They will never leave
so stop trying
