under the knife

wires in my bone
blood in my nose
feel all alone
cold sweaty toes
wake up in my room
no one was there
wasn't my day of doom
the doctor started to share
he said i did fine
need to get rest
he gave me a line
i felt it in my chest
it put the pain away
made me feel good
didn't care about the time of day
the clock has froze stood
go under the knife
sleep with a smile
you'll be awaking to life
feeling as if you just ran a mile
