I'm still a child
So please don't fill me
With the feats I'm unable to achieve

Exert me
But do not push me
Past my speed limit

Inspire me
But do not burden me
With stories of young heroes

Caution me
But do not lecture me
On details with which I have yet to understand

I'm still a child
So fling open the door of knowledge
Without pushing me through it

It reminds me of when my dad tried to teach me a math formula i was supposed to learn in seventh grade, in sixth grade, and i had no clue what he was talking about when he finished trying to help me with my homework.

I totally love this and understand! I am so glad this was published, it deserved it. You're great. =)

Check out my poem I just posted, Change (on my actual account ElleNicole) and please rate it and tell me your opinion? I need more feedback, I'm new to this website. Thanks!
