I turn the knob
Slowly, it opens
My glistening outfit
Sparkles
Cheers erupt
One blade out
And the other
My right foot pushes me
Across the ice
Music
Surrounds me
I twirl
To the center
I see my breath
In the cool, fresh air
I pause
And glide once more
My arms glide
I spin
Faster and faster
A figure eight
A fast jump
I bend
And twirl
Into a bow
The song ends
Applause
I was
Once skating
Once skating on Ice
