She was standing there
So sweet, so innocent
So real, but so unreal
A creation
Of my imagination
It’s too good
To be true
A trickery
A loud bang
Cries
Her soft, dying breath
The words, at last, escape my lips
“I am sorry”
But it is far, far
Too late
