Barbies and G.I Joe
You
You come in here
To my life again
With
Smooth words and
False promises
You played with me
As if I was
Barbie
Or
G.I Joe
You molded your lies carefully
Like silly putty
Or play-doh
How could I be so easily fooled?
Do you have that much control over me?
I the puppet and you
The puppet master
You were my Andy
To my raggedy Anne
The Ken
To my Barbie
The one thing I looked over
Was
Andy eventually left Anne
AND
Barbie and Ken
Could never last
Deep down
He always had a thing
For Skipper
Just goes to show that
Barbie…
Isn’t always
Perfect
Now G.I Joe on the other hand
Is who I want to be
Tough
Confident
And always wins against Cobra
In my mind
I am G.I Joe
She is Cobra
My battlefield is
My heart
My territory is
You
And if Cobra steps one foot
On my territory
I will blow her away
Metaphorically of course
So say
Bye-bye Skipper
Bye-bye Cobra
Bye-bye Elaine
