"you know that place between asleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? thats where i love you peter pan, thats where i'll be waiting" Tinkerbell

While you wait amidst the rain
Cascading gently with your tears,
A salted window to your past
A fleeting smile dances across your eyes
A rainbow momentarily upon your lips;
I won’t attempt to understand

While you wait amidst the rain
You face upturned to illumined night
The moons meager attempt to pierce ever darkening shroud
Shadows stalk the light upon your face
Suppressing your laughter, a pealing bell
I don’t begin to comprehend

While you wait amidst the rain
A flicker of recognition, a single phrase
Disturbing the thoughts I thought forgotten,
The magic captured in radiant moonlight
My tears falling freely, ‘I thought I’d lost you’
I didn’t realize, there was no end

A childs voice, however honest and true, is meaningless to those who have forgotten how to listen.
