As Cold As Tonight,
Feeling rather insignificant,
Under the open sky,
Talking-to the murmuring stars,
With whispers of the eternal mind,
As a star falls
In a ray of light,
My heart pounds heavily,
Struck by the breathtaking sight,
It represents the beauty of despair,
The softness of deceit,
The cold world I’m growing in,
The grace of defeat,
Feelings I lack strength to bear,
Are emerging from within,
So I close my eyes,
And make a wish,
Hoping that this world will no longer be,
As cold as tonight,
With a heart filled of sorrow
and a mind in constant pain,
I hope to strive,
In a world of neglect and towering lies,
All I know,
Is that I don’t belong,
For I cannot tell what the future will hold,
but I wish to have the courage to go on.
And I wish that this world will no longer be,
As cold as tonight,
