Angered Nature
My eyes look around me,
Surrounded by a smear of greens,
I can hear their voices,
Angered yet serene,
They cry to me in despair,
Save us they say,
Your kind has wounded us,
We have watched ours painfully go away,
Their arms are tangled gently,
With their branches bent they weep,
What can I do?
What can I say?
How do I assure them that everything’s going to be okay?
She won’t understand,
We will not be heard,
Manage to hurt me with every single word,
They begin to chant,
Voices low and gruff,
We give life with every single breath,
So why the death?
We protect you from every single ray,
So why do you betray?
I don’t have answers
I do not know.
