"I can sum up everything I've learned about life in three words; it goes on." -Robert Frost

She's slipping through my fingers
like sand-
or maybe its more like water.
having all hope that it is in your hand,
until you open it.
and you find nothing there but some
proof of her existence-
like moist fingers
or sand under your nails.
but soon it will be gone,
just another memory to forget about.

she's tough as nails,
but sometimes as fragile
as butterfly wing's in a spring shower.
her mind revolves around
a troubled family,
an unforseen future,
and one too many hearts broken
by unfeeling incompitent liers.

is she too eager to fall,
or is it the too many walls to break down
that make her so untouchable?
one day though,
she'll meet the one.
the one who will
inspire her,
love her,
and cherish her.
the one who will give her wings,
so she can join the angels that she sees in her dreams,
smile broadly,
and move on..
so all of the pain,
all of the lies,
all of the hope she put in the wrong hands
will finally become the past,
just something to look back on.
no feelings attached,
no regrets,
no anger,
no need to pull unnecessary violence out of that world
and into this one,
we have enough of that already.

so you may ask,
why are you losing her?
why don't you chase her?
and the truth is,
its because everytime i see her in the mirror,
a piece of her disappears.
and i'm waiting for the day when she vanishes all together.
