Brothers
Love and hate does not explain
All the hurt and the pain
And the rush, in the main -
Mix in tears and the drain.
Loving each other
Sometimes, simply, just means
You hold back great anger
That bursts at the seams.
You say that you'll kill me
If I do that again.
I whisper, "I hate you,"
A thought deep within.
But really I love you
And know you love me
In that weird, whacky way
That shows what it means
To be brothers.
