A Few Seconds of Heaven

He surfs down the wave of snow
but on two planks instead
his target in his eyes
preparing for his few seconds
Off in the air
reaching for a ski
to tweak his body into a corking motion
Approaching the end of the air
Down
Down
Down
while hardening into wood
splitting into two skateboard-like shapes
Now everyone watches in awe
as those two planks paint perfection through the air
