Last Night
Last night he cried.
I wanted to die.
I hope no one spied.
Seeing him red eyed and hurting inside
Confessing his love forever
Secretly scaring me
We hold each other tight
Through the night
Wanting me happy by his side
Resting his head on my chest
Listen to my heartbeat
Saying sweetheart please never depart
I can’t be apart from you
He calms, resting his palms on mine
His love enter twines with mine
He pleads “PLEASE DON’T DECLINE!”
Feeling like I might seize
I whisper yes-sending shivers down his spine
Tonight he slipped a ring on my finger
He thanks God for answering his prayers
