I Lost My Heart
Today, I lost my heart.
I don’t know where it went.
When I said that you could have it,
This is not what I meant.
I gave it to you this morning,
And you said you’d hold it close.
But you did not do what you said you would.
And now I’m missing what I care for most.
Maybe one day, I might find it.
For now though, I’m just without.
I choose you, I picked you first,
But that choice now fills me with doubt.
Regret. I hate you for what I’m feeling.
And nothing you do can make it right.
Just don’t call, don’t stop by.
I never want you in my sight.
