Ode to my Cell Phone
The way you sit on my night stand being charged,
Makes me wonder if I have text messages.
I run to you and lift you up in my hands,
Caressing you like an innocent child.
With as simple as a touch,
And a click of a button,
I connect to my social world.
When you fall out of my hands,
It breaks my heart to see you crash onto the floor.
But I lift you off the cold floor
And hold you close,
Promising to never let go.
