Fading
All the blank days in the week
Nothing but a whisper on my lips,
And a tear stained to my cheek.
You kissed me with the windows open
While the rain came pouring inside.
You kissed me on the rooftop
Underneath the empty sky.
Charcoal eyelashes,
Butterfly Kisses, and
Red wine.
Secrets tattooed on my skin
While, despair strangled us to the ground.
The streetlights flicker then fade
Like every good intention I've ever had.
