A Flower For Rachel
An eye looks up and waters the flower
who knew she had this much power
this rose has no thorns
but it keeps on
growing
Each tear, falling with a message
a purpose
helps the seed grow
and as each petal falls down
a stronger layer grows, it fills the bottom
Hope and courage are the eyes
bravery and passion color each eye
in order to help, she knows she will die
but this isn't goodbye
A flower for Rachel
too young to stop growing
still young, never stopped knowing
ages before her day
years before her age
Life's so precious
moments,
we have so few,
but hers keeps shinning through.
Like a beam of light
warms your neck,
take hold of it,
and pass it to the next.
