Premonition
Blissfully basking in the brilliant winter sun, a violet vessel of hope and premonition peeks its purple head through the crystallized water. It praises the big ball of fire with arms outspread, relaying the rays of light into its interior, sprouting a stigma that seems to have caught on fire, and melting the winter around it. This symbol of spring urges fellow flowers to free themselves from the frosty soil, and join in the warmth of the sun. Green grass sprouts around this icon like emerald blades, cutting their way through the white wall of winterized water, preparing the ground around them for the season yet to come. Like a skyscraper standing still in the thin, arid atmosphere, it waits for the arrival of more of its kind. What it does not know is that it sprouted from hibernation prematurely; it serves only as a premonition of what is to come. It will have to face the forecast to come alone.
