All She'd Wanted
Drowning in the sorrow of a broken heart, she finds a cliff
ready to part
Down and down, she falls so fast
wanting to escape her painful past
The need to live had come and gone
she had lost her strength and couldn’t move on
As her frail body flies through the air
she remembers her life
and all her care
the love she’d spent
the love she’d shared
The jagged rocks below her now
beckoning and ready to break her fall
closer and closer to death she gets
all she’d wanted was to forget
As she hits the water her body tingles
What is this feeling, she can’t understand?
unknown to her unknown to man
Regret
