Home (Again) MAG
His
spidery lashes frame soft
eyes, warm honey spilled into dark
chocolate
teasing me,
i want to memorize every line
as his face crinkles,
brightens
into my favorite smile
i want to gather every freckle
into my palm and
make wishes on them as they escape
back to his sun-kissed skin
and i trace their constellations,
jaw to cheekbone and
back again
i want to learn the expanse of him
though i have never cared to know the
ways of maps spread out on classrooms walls;
i want to catch his every passing glance
and every whisper
and press them to my lips,
breathe in their familiar scent
fold myself in their sweetness
until i find myself at home again in
Him
