where the sun meets the trees
Where the sun meets the trees
Where my eyes are on the sky,
and my feet don't touch the ground.
Where my hands hold tight to chains,
While my head is spinnin round.
With my heart between my knees,
and my feet above my head.
I can see the world around me,
I can sense that I'm not dead.
While the world begins to shrink,
and the earth gets dark and small.
I think of this place and wonder,
was i ever there at all?
In the darkest of my days,
I was never all alone.
It was always right beside me,
in my body, like my bones.
So I'll travel to my secret place,
and I won't make a sound.
Where my eyes are on the sky,
and my feet don't touch the ground.
