Farewell
You always say goodbye, so much until it burns.
You tell yourself your sorry, but it's time that you should learn.
Your feet hit the ground, and they melt right into place.
The one you love is running, but it isn't worth the chase.
The fighting and the screaming, always ends with salty tears.
One of you is running from your thoughts and all your fears.
The breaking of the character, is what will happen first.
The pain you feel, is from the heart, that love has surely cursed.
Your better off, you tell yourself, but never you believe.
To him, you've given everything, and everything you'll leave.
A victim of love you seem to be, lost and out of touch.
You never thought a human being, could ever mean this much.
So you close your eyes and make a wish,
you think you'll break the chain.
But your thoughts they get the best of you,
you know you're wishing in vain.
