The dark ink sweeps across the page,
The textured paper crinkles at your fingertips,
The glossy cover smudges as you grasp it,
The new smell hits your nose,
Breathe deeply,
The words enter your mind,
Ringing a bell,
Bringing connotations to the tip of your tongue,
Whispering the things hidden in between the lines,
The meanings envelop your heart,
Striking emotions,
Love,
Hatred,
Despair,
And as you turn the page,
Swish,
Crackle,
It begins again

i really like the first two stanzas, i also like how the tempo kind of changes. the whole covering-the-five-senses is great
