Locks
Everyday I see you walk past the shadows.
I stand there watching over you like angel.
I watch over others but I mostly watch you.
I feel sad when I watch you.
The fake smile on your face tells me how many locks there are on your heart.
The number of locks you have doesn’t compare to mine.
Betrayal, sadness, loneliness, no sense of trust, anger, hatetred, and the truth.
These are the locks on my heart.
Some locks unlock, some of them temporality unlock, while others can never be unlocked.
There are only a few that you have that can’t be unlocked while I have many more.
You have some of the keys to my locks but you will not unlock them because you do not want to and do not care.
When I come out of the shadows, you simply ignore me.
I cry out your name you don’t hear it.
When I try to run to your side, I can never catch up.
I beg for you to unlock the locks but you never hear me.
With tears streaking down my face under my mask the shadows begin to pull me back in.
With my hand stretched out I cry for you but you would have never heard me in the first place.
My mask and my cloak come off as soon as I am in the shadows once again.
From there I put my hands over my face and begin to cry.
I go back to watching once I’m done crying.
I am the watcher of the betrayers.
