pale velour dollops
killing spiders

shedding their
summer hands,
ending aestivation

wrinkled backs
feeling the first

Haha thank you for the comment. I've since changed the title and revised the body:

The Vostok Station

pale velour dollops

killing spiders

with the wet off

their heads

juniper children

shedding their

summer hands,

ending aestivation

wrinkled backs

feeling the first

blight of

winter

and the old man

drinks his

coffee

“just as well”

he says, spitting

floods onto the

ground

his face twists and

leaves:

they will have

to go it

alone

Just as well.
