pounding, spinning
sweat dripping
legs throbbing
knees screaming
cannot go on
this is insane
crowd cheers on
shut up, i think
head hurting
tears forming
i'm done,
no more
the finish is near.

im on cross country and we race every weekend and every weekend the same thing happens and this poem kind of expresses that. i always wonder why im even on the team
