She spoke slowly,
her words stumbling from her lips.
The words
he couldn't understand
didn't want to understand.
She averted his eyes,
confirming her meaning.
he was lost
dizzy
sick
suffocating.
Immeasurable hurt
flooded his senses.
as she walked away awkwardly,
he stood drowning
dying
without her he was nothing.
