Lines
Lights blaring,
Music booming,
White lines,
Mirrors glistening.
One, two, three four,
More and more,
You sink lower.
Your mind is a skipping CD,
Replaying the last line over and over.
You can’t make sense of it,
There’s nothing sensible about it.
Whispers,
Screams,
You can’t be redeemed.
You lie,
You cheat,
You steal,
You cry.
Baby,
Oh baby,
You just can’t stop.
Dirty guys,
Slutty girls.
Dark alleys in New York,
Bright clubs in LA.
100,
200,
300,
and more.
You broke into houses,
You stole from your mom.
Fix,
Fix,
Fix.
It won’t work,
You’re too broken.
Everything is fast,
The faster,
The better.
Too fast now,
You’re spinning,
You’re spinning.
Anything,
Anything,
I’ll do it for more.
That precious little line,
Is it wrong?
It was before.
Those lines on the mirror,
They transfer to your arms.
Acid and speed,
Coke and crank.
You can’t get enough,
Even if it has a price.
You drop it and go crazy.
The blade to your arm,
It’s a zombie,
It has to go.
Deeper,
Deeper,
The red keeps coming.
The zombie won’t go away,
Why won’t it go away?
Sirens,
Flashing lights.
It’s not the club,
It’s not the alley.
It’s your life,
Ending.
Needle and thread,
They sew you back up.
Throw you away,
You’re just another druggie.
But your mind won’t let go,
Your body already has.
It’s still spinning,
Spinning in circles.
White rooms,
No white lines.
No more mirrors,
No more music.
It’s over for them,
But not for you.
Your life is finally over,
Your white forever.
The room is your home,
Get used to it.
You’re staying.
But your mind keeps spinning,
Spinning,
Spinning.
Forever skipping,
A skipping CD.
