Birdcage
I’ve locked myself up,
High in a tower.
But there’s one little problem.
I don’t feel like a princess,
And I’ve thrown out the key.
My tower is dripping,
Filling up with my tears.
I’m afraid I won’t live much longer up here.
The staircase has fallen and crumbled to pieces,
If castle twirls down, my fate will be death.
I know you don’t care
I know you are busy
I know I my mistakes
I know, I know, I know.
But you know I’m up here to punish myself.
