Has no one told you I'm not breathing?

She stood there
With her heel against the wall
Hips swaying
Though not at all

She had stockings up to her thigh
No one ever asked her why
Her hand dove into her purse
For better or for worse

Her dress was black
Her heels were red
Her hat was black
Her lips were red

Across her mouth
Her lipstick ran
She wouldn’t back out
That was the plan

Saw me dancing
Across the room
She was kind of glancing
Across the room

She made her way
Through the smoke and crowd
Even though the music may
Have been a little loud

She snapped her fingers
To keep the time
Her aroma still lingers
On these clothes of mine

She liked disco and
Tasted like a tear
She whispered "Don't stop dancing"
And she's pulling me near

The lights moved sideways
And up and down
The way her hips swayed
Had spun me ‘round

She’s a lady
And she’s out of control
