Snowflakes
Freezing
Tiny bumps rise on my arms
Sending a quick shiver up my spine
Snowflakes
Some race to get to the cold dark ground
Others wait
Traveling through this gray and mysterious sky
Slowly, Steadily
But once you reach the bottom
You have no chance
Quickly shriveling up and melting away
With nothing to prove you were once there
Blur
You’re just one of the million other snowflakes
That land and disappear
Instantly
I’m sorry small snowflake
You should have taken your time
And enjoyed your journey
But no worries
You get to go through that cycle again
And receive another chance
I, on the other hand, do not
