Black Hole
You have me caught, in this black hole
Like a blind mouse, running frantically, trying to escape
You used to give me a reason to hold on
And show hope
Do you do that anymore?
Nope.
There’s still that fire burning deep down
Barely lit, but the smoke is still visible
So many things came in between,
And while I pushed them out,
You just sat back and laughed
When do I give up?
How do I give up?
Wait, should I give up?
I am starting to realize that I need to
Without hesitation, I lick my fingers
And touch that flickering light
It’s gone
The last string of smoke gracefully drifts and disappears into the darkness
And a brighter light shows, shines
Now, I can run freely
With my eyes wide open
You no longer have me trapped in that
Black Hole
