Mi Corazón

Every day I look around
and strain to hear any sound
to insure that I haven’t lost
myself at love’s cost.
I am deafened by the thoughts of my mind
as I sit alone and wait
to give mi corazón to my soul-mate
and to accept the same in kind.
I will feed off his passion and fire
to stop my thirst and desire.
Patience and trust is what love requires,
not deception and liars.
