Life: Act I, Scene I

Sometimes,
when the music plays
and they hit the lights,
I stand in utter silence
for a cue for life.
Sometimes,
I take the leap,
take the stage
and leave it behind.
Life is my show
not displayed
for your entertainment.
Sometimes,
I stay behind the curtains
and watch attentively
as my ideas churn,
for life is an improv.
