Demon Named Doubt
September 15, 2009
Panic is everywhere around me.
Everything I’ve wished for.
Everything I’ve dreamed of.
Everything is going up in smoke.
There’s a demon named doubt and he’s in my room with me right now.
He will try to kill me in my sleep.
Then cut up my heart into tiny pieces and eat it.
He’s trying to take away the one thing that truly belongs to me.
My heart. My soul. My world.
No.
He can’t win.
He can’t thrive on my misery and low self-esteem.
No.
This demon named doubt will never win.
This
Is
The
Only
Thing
I
Truly
Have.
And no one can tell me otherwise.
Not even a demon named doubt.

This is really good. I liked the middle of the poem:
"My heart. My soul. My world.
No.
He can’t win."
The short fragments almost punch you as your reading them. It's really effective.

this is really good and the whole thing about "no one can tell me otherwise, not even a demon named doubt" really defines u. :) luv it!
