My flesh, why did you turn against me?

You promised me satisfaction but gave me destruction,

Leading me into your ways of corruption, 

My faith dwindling due to your interruptions,

I thought i was finally free

Shattered and broken,

Straying from the One above,

My true self never spoken,

Oh how I’ve awoken!

And experienced the only true love

There He is!

In all of His goodness,

Strength He gives,

So merciful, He forgives,

He redeems my pureness,

No longer mulling in sorrow,

I say my final goodbye,

The breathe i temporarily borrow,

It now sees more hope for my tomorrows,

But for you, I have no tears left to cry
