My favorite cancer
Oh how I adored you,
Your smile far superior than the radiance of the sun.
But like the sun your light gave me a cancer that consumed my mind and body.
Slowly taking the life from me,
your lies intoxicated my veins and ran through them,
you soon controlled my movements.
You blinded me.
For in your eyes I saw not only the future,
but the false reflection of you.
You weakened my bones,
took the air from my lungs,
my skin now pale blue.
Fatigued,
I let you win.
Yet even in my final breath,
I never cursed your name.
