Medusa, once a maiden fair,

Was cursed,

by Men who had no remorse.

The god of the sea took her heart,

Tearing her innocence apart

Goddess of wisdom, in anger,

cursed her with a stone like sight

transformed her hair into snakes of fright.

Her gaze was not her power, but her curse.

For any who looked, there was a fate no worse.

The world that once was her home,

She now wandered,

 cursed to roam.
