Dark Forest
I'm in a dark forest
Every time I try to escape it pulls me back in
I take deep breaths but it doesn’t help
No matter how many times I do good,
The one bad time traps me in the darkness
My heart beats fast trying to find my way
I need to escape
“I need to get a hit”
“I need to get an A”
It suffocates me
Every path I turn leads me back to the middle of this forest
My heart beats fast trying to find my way

I was trying to create the feeling of anxiety and being trapped with those feelings. I tried to show how those negative thoughts keep reappearing even when you try to escape them. The message of this is to show how hard it is to deal with anxiety and that even if you try to think positively you can't escape because the negative thoughts overshadow the positive ones.
