Wild West
I am from the state that made me appreciate the things surrounding me.
From the old western tumble weeds going with the wind
to the smell of cattle and the sounds of chickens, sheep, and cows.
I’m from “Go outside and get some sun!”
and then moments later, walk back inside covered in silky mud, bright green grass, and mysterious things from the ground.
I am from barbecues and get-togethers where laughter is the only noise surrounding us.
I am the warm Colorado summers and the cold harsh winters,
where the summer trees are bright and green and then wither away in the winter.
I’m from hiking steep mountains and the adventurous journeys the wind takes me.
To the butterflies and deer from the warm summers,
and the dead silence of the cold winters, the pure white snow that sparkles, coming almost up to your hip.
I am from the “Ou” and “ah” from the nature beneath my very own feet.
Where the air is crisp in the morning and the stars at night with the chilliness hugging around me.
I am from the wild wild west.

I have always adored and been in awe of colorado, I lived there up until i was in 2nd grade. Ever since I moved to Michigan I have grown to be grateful for what I have seen and lived in!
