Lock Eyes, Butterflies
As I walk toward him his cologne
leaves a warming spice
Scent behind him as he gets closer to me.
With his hood up and face down
I run to him for a hug smelling his
scent linger around me.
His arms wrap
me tight as I put my
arms around his shoulders
Like a comforting blanket.
We walk with my hand in his hand
Looking at Christmas lights ‘till the night
Gets late.
Looking around as we lock eyes, butterflies
start in my stomach I grab his hand as we walk
through the tunnels of lights..like two stars in
Outer space.
Celabrating memories with each other
Warming are hands by
The fire on a cold winter night.
