Tragedies, grief and love
Build
Ever since a young child I wondered
What are humans built out of?
Now fifteen I can answer
We are built out of tragedies
Grief
And love
Tragedies and grief shape us into who we are
We learn that nothing lasts for eternity
That everything eventually disappears into only our memories
We Cherish every moment of breathing
We laugh as hard as we can
We enjoy our time here on earth
We see the world in a much more defeatist way
We know that nothing lasts forever
We become miserable at our highs
And blissful at our lows
Love helps us recover
We walk through yellow flowers
We dance until we feel drunk
Until the flowers turn black
And we feel sober
We go back again
And continue to build
