cup of water
¨My tears drop to a page and they tell a story of my despair. A wilted flower in the brink of dawn. The smell of a book in a hotel. The words that broke my soul and the feeling of being alone. Now the words that are existing in my tears are the same words that I was told. From the ages of yes to no. Feelings that are meant to be cold. Drowning in a cup of water, just because I'm scared of the unknown. A man with tall legs, destined to tower. Being told your fate with an aftertaste that is sour. It's what I can't explain, that is my every desire. A butterfly rests on a beautiful flower. A starry night filled with fire and the regrets of a liar. With her full potential, she can't help that she is tired. ¨

i wrote this my sophomore year and I often still come back to it because of how much emotion and passion I poured into this.
