I believe in the grand tapestry; moments unite, purpose intertwined, interplay of threads. That everything happens for a reason, though we may not know it at the time. Everything intertwined, interconnected, one thing leading to the next…

The flight of a butterfly, wings so slight and delicate. A simple, small action that spirals, expands in this world of chaos. The butterfly has an effect on all people, all things. Tiny actions amplify, every choice we make touching everyone. A single flap, ever so small, ripples, affecting us all.

The passing of years is enlightenment, the sculptor of truth. It seems as if all is lost, but patience and time bear the gift of perspective, clarity.

The kaleidoscope of view. With varied perspectives, stories are spun, we create, we evolve. There’s beauty in our differences, our history, our identity. Though interconnected we are our own selves, we tell our own stories, have impact on all people and things. We too are butterflies.

The way childhood lingers, following you around. The way we were brought up, guides us through life, influencing all that we do. Foundation laying the path ahead.

But at the present moment, emotions present, pressures present, tensions on the rise. How do I remember that I must give it time? How do I fly out of the pit of despair? When everything seems so hopeless, constricted perception. The kaleidoscope grays, it’s out of focus… For as I lay and stare up at the night sky, my problems seem as small as the stars, but when I go back inside, my problems seem as big as the stars really are.

I believe in strength in unity; no matter how many numbers, no matter how different. Let the stars lead the way, a common light.

I believe in the good of all people. Wrongdoings prompted not by inherited evil, but by trauma, mistreatment from the past. Goodness amplifies; the more spread, the more comes around.

I believe in the process. Take care of the things in your control and all pieces fall in place. Take control of the seemingly uncontrollable.

And I believe that in the fleeting span of life that we are given, we must savor every little thing. Every chance to cherish, love, give, learn we must seize. But always remember that the highs are not high if the lows are not low. Have trust in the process of time. Have trust in your strength. Have trust that if you give goodness you will receive goodness in return for everything is connected. In the grand tapestry, the details are so small; so don’t worry too much, just live.
