Are you alright?
My gray eyes meet hers.
Am I?
The lady shrugs, clearly concerned as she looks me up and down.
Do you need anything?
I shrug, staring around the bridge and smells of delicious bread.
As if reading my mind, she walks away without a word.
Assuming she’s bringing me back bread, I smirk as my stomach aches for it.
I wait
Wait
And wait some more.
The day passed, and she never came back…
