Sounds of the wild

Birds, chirping in the distance.
The gentle babble of a nearby brook
A spice market of aromas fills my lungs.
The earthy scent of damp soil
The sweet perfume of wildflowers
The fragrant essence of pine
The true meaning of inner peace
I take a deep breath.
My lungs fill with air.
Feeling the percussive beat of my heart
I let myself fall silent.
As I experience true happiness in nature
