All Alone With the Moon
I want to escape from the world
Lose all of the harshness of life
I want the calmness to float around me
I want it to dig deep in my soul
and for it to soothe my dark thoughts
I need to hear that owls hoo’s to make it’s way o my ears
I need it to remind me that
i'm never truly alone
The need to ponder my thoughts
on a lonely log
I want to smell the crisp night air
I want to see something in the distance, a star
I want the star to be my hardships
For the star to shoot across the sky
Leaving streak of blue it leaves dazzles the night
Scattering my pieces in front of me
I want the blues to fade into darkness again
I need that moment of calm in the chaos
The chaos of the life around me

I wrote this for an open mic and my peers helped me edit it to submit for a final, so I thank them for all of the help they did! Also have a great summer!
