I watch you leaving through the branches
Cold and white, Silent and still.
I wait for you
But you have yet to return.
It has been two months.
Waiting, watching, hoping.
“Please” I begged as you went
“For me” I'd pleaded.
Still you left
Taking my heart with you.
I run to the edge
“I love you forever” I whisper
I see you again
Happiness floods me.
Your face disappears
I suck in a breath
Coughing up water
“No no no you can’t die”
Elovie
But that can’t be you all left
I open my eyes
There she is
Your sister returned

Pleading she asks
