Miss you
I really miss you
When we would fly kites
I would want to make ours touch
So often
When we would have picnics
I would want to feed you my fish
to make you happy
When we would watch movies
I would want to pick scary movies
To have you draped onto my arm
I really do miss you.
You. Not those moments in time
I've just fabricated
out of love.
I miss you and your cruel slaps
I miss you and your missing meals
I miss you and your terrifying behavior
It's wrong, I know
But you're my cat.
If you were here, I'd treasure you more
and I'd take us out more often
But you're not here
and I'm alone.
