This Is Me
I have walked over the vast lands of my ancestors
thousands of years of memories buried deep within the soil
I carry the history of my people That have lived and died on the lands I walk on.
You see I'm a wild horse that runs through the wild
I can hear the heavy gallops of my ancestors behind me, guiding me from afar
I can hear them talking to me.
Through the mighty wind that shakes the old sycamore leaves
Through the mourning dove's songs early in the morning
Through the rain that pitter-patters on my windows
Through all that I am
I can hear you, I say, I hear you.
They call me to remind me who I am
They call me to remind me what I am
They call me to remind me I'm not alone
They call me to remind me I'm enough
They say you must watch, listen,
For you are the result of thousands of years of love.
